Wholesale inflation eases to 12.07% for June, down from nearly 13% in May

However, this is for the third straight month that wholesale price index (WPI)-based inflation has been recorded in double digits. In April, it was at 10.49%.

Wholesale price inflation spikes to over 8-year high of 7.39% in March

Retail inflation, as per data released earlier this week, rose to a 4-month high of 5.52 per cent in March.

Pricey manufactured items push WPI inflation to 2.03%

Prices of manufactured items, which make up about 64% of the WPI index, have been accelerating since last June in line with the pick-up in economic activities and demand following the covid-led nationwide lockdown.
Food price inflation has been cooling since September. While cereal, vegetable, potato and onion prices declined in January, pulses became costlier.(AP)

Wholesale Price Index inflation falls to 1% in March, from 2.26 % in February

Inflation in vegetables fell sharply to 11.90 per cent in March from a high of 29.97 per cent in the previous month. However, inflation in onion continued to rule high at 112.31 per cent during March.

India’s October wholesale price inflation eases to 0.16%

The rate of price rise for food articles was at 9.80 per cent during the month, while for non-food articles it stood at 2.35 per cent, showed the data released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Wholesale inflation rises to four-month high of 5.28% in October due to spike in fuel prices
