When the fire broke out at around 2.15am — allegedly in electricity meter boards installed in the building’s stilt car park — there were over 40 people staying in the 13 small flats in the building.

Zakir Nagar fire: Kejriwal announces compensations, Baijal assures best medical treatment

Delhi government will provide a compensation of 5 lakh each to the families of those who have lost their lives and 2 lakh each to the injured,Baijal met the relatives of the victims in Holy Family Hospital where he instructed the medical director to provide best medical treatment to the injured people.

6 killed, 16 injured after fire in building in Delhi’s Zakir Nagar

Of the 16 injured, at least seven are in serious condition and have been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Holy Family Hospital. The injured include two firefighters, said the officer.
