Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is yet to create magic at the box office but actor Neil Nitin Mukesh is already reaping benefits off it. The actor disclosed to Mumbai Mirror that he has been offered a role in the Emmy-winning hit series, Game of Thrones.
The offer came via Hollywood action director George Powell who is also the stunt director on the Salman Khan starrer, which is being directed by Sooraj Barjatya. Powell has earlier worked on such high profile projects such as Avengers: Age of Ultron, Fast and Furious 6 and Harry Potter.
“Greg has directed two sword-fighting sequences in PRDP for which I had to train for over a month in order to get the stance and wrist movements right. He seemed pretty impressed with all the hard work I put in and made the offer when we were shooting for the climax scene a few months ago,” Neil told the Mumbai-based tabloid.
The actor revealed that a representative from the show will come and meet him in Mumbai to further discuss the role. He also divulged that he will be playing a royal on the show, like in PRDP. GoT’s sixth season started filming in July and chances are we will see Mukesh in season seven.
India seems to be the flavour of choice on American television. After Priyanka Chopra won hearts with her portrayal of Alex Parrish on Quantico, it is now the turn of Mukesh to add an Indian royal touch to American television.
