The trailer for the final season of popular animated series Samurai Jack has been released, 15 years after season four finished, and set 50 years on.
The tale of the time-traveling warrior, created by animator and director Genndy Tartakovsky, is back after over a decade, and sees its hero Jack seemingly despairing (long, bedraggled hair and beard), stuck 50 years after the events of season four in a dystopian world ruled by demon Aku. Samurai Jack’s final battle has arrived.
The new season looks just as violent, if not more. There is a lot of blood, slicing up bodies, machine guns and more. The production style, which was one of the best things about the series, remains intact.
Samurai Jack season five premieres Saturday, March 11 on Adult Swim (Cartoon Network).
