Healthcare workers in Jammu and Kashmir crossed a river on their way to carry out Covid-19 vaccination drive. A team of health workers almost risked their lives while crossing the river with cold boxes. The vaccination drive was conducted at a remote area in Kandi block of Rajouri district. “We cross rivers many times to reach remote villages & vaccinate people,” an ASHA worker said. Dr Iqbal Malik, Block Medical Officer, Kandi (Rajouri) said, “Kandi in Rajouri is a remote hilly area with a population of around 150 people. Our medical teams walk through these hilly areas to reach people & vaccinate them.” Nearly 35 lakh people have been administered Covid vaccine doses across J&K.
