Pune scientists vs China's 'Bat Woman': Clues counter Zhengli's lab leak denial

Dr. Shi Zhengli, a researcher at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, popularly known as the 'Bat Woman' due to her research on the animals, has vehemently denied insinuations that the Sars-CoV-2 virus could have leaked from her facility. This even as the clamour demanding a probe into the virus's origins continues to grow with new evidence and chronological information surfacing every day. A scientist couple in India's Pune is digging up facts to counter Zhengli's denial. Dr Monali Rahalkar and Dr Rahul Bahulikar speak to Hindustan Times' Aditi Prasad and explain why China needs to be more transparent about what went on at the Wuhan lab.
