US top medical expert spoke on Covid vaccines against the B.1.617.1 variant, first detected in India. US Director, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Fauci said current vaccines used by the United States are ‘partially & probably quite effective’. “A number of studies again, that have come out literally within the last few days. On each of them, the modest neutralization resistance of B.1.617 suggests that the current vaccines that we are all using will be at least partially and probably quite protective,” said Dr. Fauci.
