Prem Ratan Dhay Payo's story begins in Ayodhya where Prem Dilwala (Salman Khan) is the self appointed keeper of the collective social consciousness. He eats, prays and loves…well himself. He sets on a task to meet Princess Maithili played by Sonam Kapoor of Devgarh Fort. Salman Khan is quite likeable in PRDP, in fact his comic timing has got better in recent times, but many honey-coated dialogues make the proceedings funny. Himesh Reshammiya's lullabies are icing on the cake. It was the last thing required to make PRDP look like a film straight out of the '80s.Fun filled moments turn into tearjerkers in a jiffy in PRDP. It has everything that's a quintessential Hindi 'masala' family film would crave for. Go with a packet of tissues, you will need them.
