Border residents flee homes after heavy mortar shelling by Pakistan

In wake of ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir's Nowshera, families residing in the border villages have been forced to leave their homes along with their cattle to a safer place till the situation becomes normal again. Unhappy with the way things are tuning out, a local said the current situation is not less than of a war as everyday they have to face heavy firing. He also expressed dissatisfaction over the measures taken by the government to ensure their safety. Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC), forcing the Indian army to retaliate.
