Retired Major General cycled across 29 states to honour 21000 martyrs

Retired Major General Somnath Jha, who cycled across India over a period of 7 months in the memory of fallen soldiers, visited Delhi's Amar Jawan Jyoti. Jha paid his homage to 21000 martyrs by cycling for 2 minutes each for every martyr, on his journey. The homage led to a travel of 12,000 km which led him to cover 29 states across India. He said that as citizen we must remember the soldiers who sacrifice their life for us, and light a lamp in their name on the occasion of Diwali.
