    Rohit Sharma scored his maiden double hundred in a Test match during Day 2 of the third Test against South Africa in Ranchi. The batsman scored 212 runs, with 28 fours and 6 sixes. Sharma also achieved the highest average in the longest format at home (minimum 10 innings). With this feat, he surpassed Australia legend Don Bradman who had an average of 98.22, compared to Sharma’s 99.84.     Captain of the South African cricket team, Faf du Plessis, praised Mohammed Shami’s bowling. Interacting with the media ahead of the second Test match in Pune, du Plessis commented on Shami’s performance in the first Test. The Proteas skipper said that Shami ‘hits the stumps a lot’. Virat and Anushka attended a ceremony to pay tribute to former finance minister Arun Jaitley. While the Feroz Shah Kotla was renamed as the Arun Jaitley stadium, a special stand was also named after Virat Kohli.     Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami’s estranged wife Hasin Jahan thanked the Indian judiciary after a court issued arrest warrant against the cricketer. The warrant was issued by Alipore court in West Bengal against Shami and his brother Hasid Ahmed in connection with a domestic violence case. The right-arm bowler has reportedly been asked by the court to surrender within 15 days. In March, the pacer was charged with domestic violence and sexual harassment by Kolkata police. Last year, Jahan took to Facebook and leveled multiple charges against Shami including domestic violence. Jahan, a former model, had filed a complaint against four in Shami’s family in March 2018.
