8 suspected Chinese spies arrested from Mandi

Eight suspected Chinese spies have been arrested from Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh. The police also recovered currency worth Rs 30 lakh, mobile phone, several SIMs and 4 lockers from the suspects. Allegedly the Chinese nationals were posing as carpenters and painters, living in a palatial house, worth atleast Rs 2 crore, belonging to a Tibetan spiritual leader for the past several years. However, the police have stated that there was nothing on record, which said that they were spies.
