Bidve’s family to leave for UK
Family members Anuj Bidve, the Indian student who was murdered in UK, are slated to leave for Britain today to claim the 23-year-old's body. Earlier, a team of UK policemen met Bidve's family in Pune to apologise for not communicating to them about their son's death 'at the right time and through the right channel'. Bidve, a micro-electronics student at the Lancaster University, became the latest victim of a hate crime on December 26, in Greater Manchester. His killing has once again put a question mark on the safety of Indians nationals residing abroad. However, the government says the issue is its prime concern.
