Heavy snowfall envelopes north India

A blanket of fresh snowfall has enveloped Manali city in Himachal Pradesh, giving tourists a reason to enjoy amid the chill. Jubilant tourists were happy over witnessing snow-clad mountains in the region. Meanwhile, a few tourists in the state capital Shimla, complained of delay in reaching their destinations because of their vehicles slipping in excess snow. According to local media reports the accumulated snow in Shimla measured 94.3 cm.
