Here’s India’s longest cake!

Hundreds flocked to a cake exhibition in Kannur, some 334 miles from provincial capital Thiruvananthapuram. The highlight of the three-day event is a 353 feet long cake, claimed to be the longest ever to be made in the country. The giant cakes had images of celebrities, sports icons and local leaders. The organizers said the exhibition was aimed at providing impetus to the baking industry and creating more job opportunities. The event, which began on Saturday, had some 50 participants showcasing a variety of cakes to mark the 129th anniversary of the Bakers Association of Kerala.
