Killer drug-resistant TB hits India

Tuberculosis has morphed into a totally drug-resistant or TDR mode. 12 patients have been detected so far at Mumbai's P D Hinduja Hospital, of which 3 are dead now. The Centre and the World Health Organization have rushed teams of doctors to the maximum city to analyse the danger. India has become the 2nd country in the world after Iran where totally drug-resistant tuberculosis has been detected.
