'Contribution to India...': PM condoles last Soviet leader Gorbachev's death

PM Narendra Modi condoles the demise of last Soviet leader Mikhail S Gorbachev. PM said that Gorbachev was one of the leading statesmen of the 20th century and has left an indelible mark on the course of history. Modi also lauded Gorbachev's contribution to strengthening of relations with India. Gorbachev died at a hospital in Moscow on August 31 at the age of 91 after a 'serious and prolonged illness', according to the Russian media.
