Gen Naravane on repeated skirmishes with China & challenges for Indian Army

Indian Army chief General MM Naravane on Thursday said that maintaining high levels of readiness and operation preparedness to meet all contingencies is part of the Army's culture. The Army Chief also talked about when border skirmishes with China will end. Gen Naravane said that such kinds of incidents will continue to occur till such time that a long-term solution is reached, and that is to have a boundary agreement. And that should be the thrust of our efforts so that we have lasting peace along the northern (China) border." Gen Naravane also added that the proxy war in J&K adds to the challenges faced by the Indian army. The Army Chief made the remarks while addressing the 116th Annual session meeting of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the theme 'Resilient India'.
