How INS Vela will boost Navy's underwater combat arm; new submarine commissioned

The Indian Navy commissioned submarine INS Vela adding more teeth to the country’s naval prowess. The submarine was commissioned in the presence of Navy chief Admiral Karambir Singh. INS vela is a scorpene-class submarine built by the govt-owned Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd. This is the 4th of the six submarines to be inducted under Kalvari-Class Submarine Project-75.
