'…Like Atma': Mahua mocks spectrum definition in draft bill; Fuels ‘Amar’ debate

Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has shared a spiritual definition of the telecom spectrum as "Atma", or a spirit that's omnipresent. However, the definition has not been given by the MP but an explanatory note, part of the draft Indian Telecommunication Bill, 2022, which she quoted in her tweet. The note reads, "In a way, spectrum is similar to Atma, which is ajar(indestructible), amar(immortal), as described in Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. Like Atma, the spectrum too does not have any physical form, yet it is omnipresent.'' The TMC MP found this definition amusing and mocked the government's draft bill.
