The details of the framework of a new Israel-Hamas hostage swap deal hatched in Paris recently have now come out. Al Jazeera and Reuters reported a 40-day truce is being planned during which Hamas would free around 40 hostages. It will included young, elderly and sick women but not any soldiers, who are being held captive. This reportedly in return for around 400 Palestinian prisoners from Israel. The report added that the release will be made in the 10-for-one ratio. Israel has also reportedly agreed to five more Hamas demands in the framework. Hamas is currently studying the proposal.
