NIRF 2024: 8 top institutions for legal studies that law aspirants can consider

National Law School of India University, Bengaluru retained its position as the number one institute for law studies in the country as per the latest NIRF rankings.

National Law University, New Delhi has been ranked second-best among the top law universities in India. It has an NIRF ranking of 2.

Nalsar University of Law has been ranked third in the NIRF rankings in 2023. The institution is located in Hyderabad. 

The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata, secured an NIRF ranking of four. It has a score of 69.34. 

Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, with a score of 68.30, has been ranked the fifth-best institute for legal studies in India. 

Symbiosis Law School, Pune, is the sixth-best law institute in India. It has an overall score of 66.67 in the NIRF rankings last year.

Gujarat National Law University, ranked seventh among the top law institutions in the country has an overall score of 65.69.

Siksha `O` Anusandhan is located in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha, and is ranked the eighth-best college for law studies.
