Tips to improve concentration by Harvard University

Are you struggling to concentrate on your studies for a longer period of time? If yes, check out these simple yet effective tips shared by Harvard University to improve your concentration level.

Mindfulness: Mindfulness is about focusing on the present moment. Practice sitting still for a few minutes each day, closing your eyes, and taking deep breaths. This can increase your concentration.

Cognitive Training: Computerised cognitive training games aim to improve response time and attention. To enhance your concentration power, try playing the game and keep pushing it to the next level.

Good Sleep: Concentration is directly related to your sleep cycle. Aim for seven to eight hours of sleep each night, which will gradually help you concentrate more.

Exercise: Anyone who wants to improve their concentration should do 150 minutes of aerobic exercise every week, such as brisk walking. Keep this as a daily practice to increase concentration.

Avoid excessive drinking: Having too much alcohol impairs thinking and causes interrupted sleep, which affects concentration. Try to avoid alcohol for a better life.

Information overload: In today’s world, information is everywhere, and when there are too many materials available across various platforms like TVs, computers, mobiles, etc., concentration is easily affected. It is advisable to stay away from such platforms that can cause distractions.
