10 must-see images of space captured by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope

The universe is home to innumerable galaxies, stars and nebulae that offer a visual spectacle. NASA's Hubble Space Telescope has observed and captured several such cosmic spectacles. Here is a look at some of them. 

This stunning image features the galaxy M82 glowing in vibrant colours against the darkness of space. 

This spectacular image shows a knot of gas and dust made of various elements. Known as the Bok globule, it is located 9,500 light-years away from Earth. 

This spectacular image shows the Wolf Rayet nebula which is located 30,000 light-years away. It features a giant bubble surrounding bright stars. 

NASA's Hubble Space Telescope captured this striking sight of the Sunflower Galaxy, a spiral galaxy located about 27 million light-years away.

This mesmerising image shows a dense core CB 130-3, which is a compact mass of gas and dust. 

This sparkling image shows the star-forming region G35.2-0.7N featuring a protostellar jet, a massive beam of matter ejected from very young stars.

This gorgeous Hubble image shows colourful clouds of gas and dust in the Lagoon Nebula, located 4,000 light-years away from Earth.
