10 spectacular images of Milky Way galaxy shared by NASA

The US space agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) frequently shares stunning visuals of Milky Way Galaxy. Let's take a look at some of them.

The Milky Way is Earth's home galaxy that consists of stars, planets and vast clouds of gas and dust. It is a spiral galaxy with a disk of stars spanning more than 100,000 light-years.

Here's a spectacular pic of the Milky Way observed above the Doll House at Canyonlands National Park.

This infrared picture shows the core of the Milky Way galaxy. The image is a combination of two images captured by NASA's Hubble's Near Infrared Camera and Multi-Object Spectrometer (NICMOS).

This image shared by NASA shows an artist's impression of the Arches star cluster, deep inside the hub of the Milky Way Galaxy. The image shows a massive cluster of stars densely packed in the galaxy.

This mesmerising image captured by NASA's James Webb Telescope shows a portion of the Milky Way galaxy's dense core.

This beautiful image of a supernova remnant in the Milky Way was captured by NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory. It shows a thousand years old supernova remnant W49B, 26,000 light years away from Earth.

This image of the Milky was shared by NASA as the Astronomy Picture of the Day. It shows Northern winter constellations in the night sky above California's coast.

This starry image of the Milky Way galaxy was captured by NASA with a 13-second exposure. The image shows the International Space Station making a straight trail of light in the sky on the right side.

This colourful image of the Milky Way galaxy was taken by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope. It shows a cluster of stars in the center of the galaxy creating a blue haze.
