India celebrated the 75th Republic Day with a grand parade at Kartavya Path in New Delhi on January 26, 2024.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a tribute to the fallen heroes at the National War Memorial in New Delhi.

French President Emmanuel Macron attended the event as the chief guest.

President of India Droupadi Murmu and French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in a special presidential carriage escorted by the President's Bodyguard, a tradition revived after a gap of 40 years.

In a first, an all-women tri-services contingent was part of the parade.

This year's theme for the Republic Day parade was ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Bharat – Loktantra ki Matruka’.

For the first time, instead of a traditional military band, the Republic Day parade was heralded by over 100 female artists.

16 states and union territories, and nine ministries displayed tableaux highlighting the country’s rich cultural diversity and women empowerment.

A Contingent of the French Foreign Legion and band also participated in this year's Republic Day parade.

256 women bikers from the CRPF, BSF and SSB showcased daring stunts during the motorcycle display.

The BSF contingent's march featured a camel-mounted band.

The event concluded with a stunning aircraft display featuring Tejas, Rafale, Su-30, MiG-29 Upgrade and the Light Combat Helicopter 'Prachand', among others.
