Every day, the US space agency NASA selects Astronomy Picture of the Day, featuring fascinating images of cosmic views and celestial bodies. Let's take a look at some of these stunning pictures.

This image is a diagonal combination of two images of a spiral galaxy captured by NASA's Hubble Space and James Webb telescopes.

This image features the core of the Carina Nebula, which is 300 light-years away from Earth. The image shows stars forming, dying and leaving a tapestry of dusky filaments.

This stunning image of the Cone Nebula was captured by NASA's Hubble space telescope. The image shows stars forming in the giant dust pillar of the Cone Nebula.

This cosmic view was captured under the clear skies of the Netherlands with a telescope. The two interstellar gasses on the right-hand side of the sky are known as the tadpoles of IC 410.

This mesmerising image of a spiral galaxy NGC 1365 shows intense, reddish star-forming regions. It is 200,000 light-years away from Earth.

This image is of the constellation Orion above Sněžka, a snow-capped mountain on the border between Poland and the Czech Republic. The image shows Orion and Flame Nebulas in the sky.

This picture is of the Pleiades, a bright cluster of stars in Earth's sky. The image shows swirls of gas and dust moving across the Pleiades.

This picture is the highest resolution true colour image of Pluto ever taken. This image was acquired by New Horizons, which showed Pluto is mostly brown.

This photo features a Full Wolf Moon in the northern hemisphere, rising over Las Campanas Observatory. It was captured with a telephoto lens across the Chilean Atacama Desert.

This image contains the Pleiades star cluster, Barnard's Loop, Orion Nebula and several other night-sky nebulas. It is a composite image made from 28 images taken over 800 hours from dark skies over Arizona, USA.
