Here are some new rules of IPL 2023 that you need to know
Impact player system
Under 'impact player system', teams will be allowed to announce their playing XI (eleven) team after the toss instead of before it
Each captain will give two different team sheets of their playing XI along with five substitute players to the match referee after the toss
DRS for bowling
In IPL 2023, teams will be allowed to challenge no-balls or wide balls call made by the umpires via the ‘Decision Review System'
New signal for 'impact player'
While introducing impact player by a team, the umpires clench both fists and cross their hands above their heads
Penalty for slow overs
If over is not completed in the allocated time, as a penalty, only four fielders will be allowed outside the 30-yard circle instead of the normal five fielders
A dead ball call
Umpire can give a dead ball call if he will notice unfair movements of the fielder and the wicketkeeper during the match. It will result in a penalty of five runs and the delivery in which it happened being declared dead
