Decreasing temperatures and the cold weather can make your skin itchy, dry and sensitive. It is crucial to maintain your skincare routine in winters to prevent rashes.

Here are some skincare tips to prevent rashes in winters.

Your skin becomes sensitive in winters and taking a cold shower can lead to rashes and itchiness. Instead, opt for taking shower with warm water that does not irritate your skin and helps maintain your body temperature.

Apply moisturiser

It is essential to moisturise your skin regularly in winters as the cold air can leave your skin dry and lead to rashes. Opt for a nourishing moisturiser that hydrates your skin.

Use a humidifier

A humidifier helps add moisture to the air indoors. It prevents the cold and dry air from irritating your skin.

Use a sunscreen

Make sure to use a sunscreen before stepping outside in the sun to protect your skin from the harmful UV rays.

Change your body soap

Your regular body soap may not be able to balance the pH of your skin in winters as the skin tends to become dry. Opt for a good chemical-free soap with a pH ranging from 4.5 to 7.
