5 tips to grow bougainvillea at home

Bougainvilleas are easy to grow flowering plants that bloom throughout the year. Here are some tips to grow this plant in your garden.

Potting

Fill a wide container or a medium-sized pot with well-drained, loamy soil. Avoid using clay soil as it is not suitable for growing this vine. Mix it with cocopeat to boost soil's fertility.

Planting

Plant a small trellis of Bougainvillea inside pot.

Watering

Watering the bougainvillea plant every day is essential to boost its growth. Once the plant grows tall, water only the top soil.

Sunlight

Bougainvillea bloom beautifully in full and direct sunlight, typically six to eight hours everyday.

Temperature

Bougainvillea thrive in temperatures from 70°F to 80°F. They can tolerate medium to high humidity levels.
