5 tips to prevent sunburn in summers

Prolonged exposure to sun and heat can lead to sunburns caused by the harmful UV rays. Therefore, protecting your skin outdoors is essential, especially in summer, to prevent sunburns.

Here are some tips to prevent sunburn in summer.

Apply sunscreen

Apply a chemical-free sunscreen with SPF 30+, as it helps protect against UV rays. Make sure to reapply the sunscreen every two hours to nourish your skin and prevent sunburns in summers.

Avoid staying outdoors

To prevent sunburns in summer, avoid staying outdoors unless necessary. Limit your time in the sun between 10 AM and 4 PM, as the sun emits harmful and intense rays during this time.

Cover yourself

Make sure to cover yourself head to toe in light and breathable clothes before stepping outside in the sun. Clothes help create a barrier between your skin and the sun's harmful rays that help prevent sunburns and other skin diseases.

Accessorise your outfit

To protect yourself from the sun's rays, you can accessorise your outfit with a hat or a cap and sunglasses. It will also help cool down your body and prevent against sunburns and sunstroke.

Stay hydrated

Consuming adequate fluids is essential, especially during summer, to stay hydrated. It helps keep your skin hydrated and boosts collagen production, further protecting it against damage.
