5 tips to take care of bamboo palm plant

Bamboo palms are excellent houseplants as they thrive indoors and are low maintenance plants. Here are some tips to take care of bamboo palms at home.

Potting

You can pot bamboo palm in well-drained soil mixed with cocopeat to boost the soil's fertility. Opt for a large pot, as bamboo palms can grow up to 12 feet.

Watering

Watering bamboo palms regularly is essential to keep them green and healthy. Avoid overwatering them, as it can lead to waterlogging in the soil. You can water them once every two days during winters.

 Temperature and humidity

Bamboo palm is a tropical plant that thrives in warm temperatures and medium to high humidity levels. You can mist their leaves to keep them hydrated when the humidity is low.

Sunlight

This plant can grow well both indoors and outdoors. However, it prefers minimal sunlight to thrive. You can keep them in your balcony or near a window to provide them adequate sunlight.

Pruning

Prune them every week to get rid of dead and dry leaves. You can cut dry leaves at the base of the stem to maintain the plant.
