5 ways to deal with greasy hair in winters

Your scalp can get scaly and oily during the winter season. Maintaining your hair health in winters is essential to prevent hair problems.

Here are some tips for dealing with greasy hair in the winter season.

Wash hair at least twice a week

It is important to wash your hair at least twice a week to rinse off the excess oil and dirt settled on your scalp. Hair washing will also help control the amount of oil your scalp secretes.

Avoid oiling hair

If your scalp becomes oily in winters, then avoid oiling your hair frequently as your scalp naturally produces enough sebum to hydrate your hair and scalp.

Brush your hair regularly

Make sure to brush your hair every day as it will help distribute the oil across the lengths of your tresses and prevent your hair from looking oily.

Avoid blow-drying

Blow-drying your hair in winter can lead to excess oil secretion. Instead, use a towel to dry your hair naturally.

Apply hair mask

A natural hair mask made from ingredients like aloe vera gel, banana and curd can help get rid of oily hair and add shine to your hair.
