6 hair care routine tips for weekends

If you have a busy weekday schedule, you can follow a proper hair care routine on weekends. Here is the step-by-step hair care routine that you can follow on weekends. 

Apply hair oil

You can apply any natural oil, such as almond, amla or coconut oil, to your hair and scalp. Hair oiling helps hydrate your scalp, moisturise your hair and stimulate the hair follicles. 

Hot towel treatment

Dip a soft towel into a bowl of lukewarm water. Squeeze it to remove excess water and wrap your oily hair in the hot towel. Leave it on for 10 minutes. Repeat this step twice to hydrate your scalp and nourish your hair.

Shampoo

Use a chemical-free and mild shampoo suitable for your hair type to wash your hair. You can apply the shampoo twice to get rid of excess oil.

Apply natural hair mask

After shampooing your hair, you can apply a natural hair mask. Opt for a nourishing hair mask such as avocado, yoghurt or banana hair mask and leave it on for 20 mins. Rinse it off with water.

Condition

Apply a gentle conditioner to hydrate your hair. Use your fingers to get rid of tangles and knots in your hair. Leave it on for five mins and rinse it off with water. 

Apply hair serum

Use a soft cotton towel to dry your hair and apply a hair serum to get smooth and shiny hair. Instead of using a blow dryer, leave your hair to dry naturally.
