Fruits to include in Karwa Chauth 2024 Sargi thali for better energy while fasting

Married women on Karwa Chauth observe day-long fast from sunrise to moonrise. To get ready for the fast, before dawn they consume the Sargi thali that prepares them for the day ahead.

Including fruits in the thali better equips them to stay energetic throughout the day. The sargi thali needs to be nutritious and should include fruits.

Banana:  Banana is the go-to high-energy fruit. It has potassium and carbohydrates that provide essential nutrition and prevent fatigue.

Pomegranates: Pomegranates contain antioxidants and essential vitamin and minerals. They feel hydrating. 

Dates:  High in fibre with natural sugars, Dates help feeling full for longer time. 

Apple:  Another fruit that provides natural sugars, Apple is an energy booster. It's rich in fibre and vitamin, reducing hunger pangs. 

Coconut:  Both the pulp and water of coconut maintains hydration for longer duration. Rich in electrolytes, coconut prevents dehydration.
