1) 35 lakh homes by 2030: The Maharashtra cabinet has approved the state's much-awaited Housing Policy 2025, aimed at constructing 35 lakh affordable homes in the next five years

2) 70,000 crore investment: The policy earmarks 70,000 crore to support homebuyers, developers, and key players across the housing sector

3) First policy since 2007: Majhe Ghar, Majha Adhikar (My Home, My Right) marks Maharashtra’s first major housing policy update in nearly 20 years

4) Self-redevelopment boost: Maharashtra has set aside 2,000 crore, along with a proposed support cell, to assist housing societies in self-redevelopment

5) Push for stalled projects: Incentives will be offered under cluster redevelopment to revive stalled real estate and slum rehab projects

 Boost for senior and student housing: Easier tax, Floor Space Index, and stamp duty norms for projects focused on senior living and student housing

 Walk-to-work focus: 10–30% of amenity plots in industrial zones must now be earmarked for residential use to support walk-to-work lifestyles
