ICC World Cup 2023 Schedule Announced

The schedule for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 has been announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC)

This is the fourth time India is hosting the ODI World Cup. The fixture has been released across 10 venues. The tournament will take place for 46 days from October 5 to November 19, 2023

The ICC World Cup 2023 will kick off on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad with previous edition finalists England and New Zealand competing against each other

India will play their first match against Australia on October 8 in Chennai. The match between India and Pakistan will be played in Ahmedabad on October 15

ICC sent the World Cup trophy 1,20,000 feet above the Earth's surface before landing it at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad

The trophy will travel to 18 countries and the 2023 trophy tour is going to be the biggest one

A total of 10 teams will participate in the ODI World Cup and 8 teams have already been finalised through the Cricket World Cup Super League

The 8 teams that have qualified for the tournament through the Cricket World Cup Super League are India, Afghanistan, Australia, England, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa

The first semi-final will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and the second semi-final will take place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata
