ICC World Test Championship Final 2021-2023

The second edition of the ICC World Test Championship (2021-2023) final will take place at Kennington Oval, London from June 7, 2023

Here's everything you need to know about the championship

The format of the ICC WTC entails the top nine Test teams to play six series each- three at home and three away. The top two performing teams compete in the ICC World Test Championship Final

India and Australia are the top two teams to play in the finals from June 7, 2023 to June 11, 2023 at Kennington Oval, London 

The beginning of the 2021 to 2023 cycle kicked off with the five-Test series between India and England in 2021 

Australia has won 11 Tests with 66.67 percentage of points, while India has won 10 Tests with 58.8 percentage of points in 6 WTC Test Series

The first edition of the World Test Championship Final took place between New Zealand and India in which New Zealand won by 8 wickets with scores of 249 & 140/2

In WTC Finals, each match will be worth the same number of points. The teams get 12 points for winning a match, 6 points for a tie and 4 points for a draw

The percentage distribution is 100 for winning a match, 50 for a tie and 33.33 for a draw match

Teams will be ranked and qualified on the basis of the percentage of points won. For slow over-rates teams will lose one championship point for each over-short
