India head coach Gautam Gambhir’s top milestones in cricket

Gautam Gambhir has taken the prestigious role as the Head Coach of the Indian men's cricket team. 

Let's revisit the former cricketer's top career highlights.  

He scored a match-winning 75 runs against Pakistan in the 2007 T20 World Cup Final. 

He scored a memorable 97 against Sri Lanka in the 2011 ODI World Cup. 

Gambhir is the only Indian to have scored centuries in five successive Test matches.

In 2009, the cricketer won the Arjuna Award and ICC Test Player of the Year.

He retired from all forms of cricket in March 2019, having played 58 Tests, 147 ODIs and 37 T20Is.

He led Kolkata Knight Riders to two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014 as player and captain. 

He became a mentor in 2022. The cricketer mentored Lucknow Super Giants before returning to KKR in 2024, where he led them to win their third IPL title.
