IND vs PAK: India beat Pakistan by 6 runs

The much-awaited World Cup match between India and Pakistan took place on June 9, 2024, in New York's Nassau County Stadium. India beat Pakistan by 6 runs.

The toss had been delayed by half an hour due to rain ahead of the match. Pakistan won the toss and chose to bowl first.

Pakistan's pacers ruled the pitch initially as Indian batters were all out for 119 runs in 19 overs. 

Rohit Sharma hit eight runs off the first over and was bowled out by Shaheen Afridi.

Virat Kohli lasted just three balls before falling to Naseem Shah in the second over.

Axar Patel was sent out in the powerplay along with Rishabh Pant.

 The two put up 39 runs for the third wicket off 30 balls before Axar fell on 20 off 18 to Naseem.

In the second innings, Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Mohammad Rizwan. 

Suryakumar Yadav dismissed Babar Azam with a stunning catch.

India came roaring back after the 10th over. Jasprit Bumrah recorded excellent figures of 3/14 while Hardik Pandya took 2/24, leading India to a sensational win by 6 runs.
