Paris Olympics spotlight: Tokyo stars Neeraj Chopra, PV Sindhu ready to shine again

Paris Olympics will begin on July 25 and continue till August 11, 2024. Here are some Indian players who won medals in the previous edition, Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Star athlete Neeraj Chopra won a gold medal in the men's javelin throw category.

Wrestler Bajrang Punia won a bronze medal in the men's 65 kg wrestling category. Punia failed to secure a spot in the contingent travelling to Paris.

The Indian men's hockey team secured a bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics. This year, the team will be led by the captain Harmanpreet Singh in the Paris Olympics.

Wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya clinched silver medal in the men's 57 kg wrestling category. The star wrestler failed to find a spot in the contingent for Paris Olympics as the Wrestling Federation of India decided against holding his final trial.

Badminton player PV Sindhu won a bronze medal in the women's singles badminton category. The player is all set to lead the Indian contingent at Paris Olympics 2024.

Boxer Lovlina Borgohain won also won a bronze medal in the women's welterweight boxing category. She is all set to compete in the women's 75kg boxing match in Paris.

Mirabai Chanu won a silver medal for India in the women's 49 kg weightlifting category. She will compete in the same match at Paris Olympics.
