Fasting during Navratri can get quite overwhelming. Here are a few tips to ease the fasting process

 Eat small meals at regular intervals to keep your metabolism in check and provide sustainable release of energies

Keep your body hydrated and drink a lot of water to maintain optimum  fluids in your body

Instead of fried foods, opt for healthy snacks like a handful of nuts that are rich in nutrients

 Try having Kuttu Ki Roti as it is extremely rich in dietary fibre and keeps you full for longer

Limit the intake of potatoes during the fasting period. Go for alternatives such as amaranth kadi, banana walnut lassi, beetroot cutlet and makhana kheer to keep you satiated

Opt for skimmed or double toned-milk rather than whole milk as they are easy to digest while fasting

Sabudana khichdi or chaat may increase the glycemic index that help regulate sugar levels throughout the day

Avoid consumption of too many caffeinated drinks while fasting as it may make you feel bloated or dehydrated
