5 stunning ISRO images of Maha Kumbh from space

ISRO has released satellite images showing massive infrastructure work for the 2025 Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. 

Images captured by ISRO's National Remote Sensing Center in Hyderabad highlights preparations for the world’s largest religious gathering.

The images showcase iconic locations like the Triveni Sangam, Shivalay Park, and Parade Grounds in Prayagraj, central to the Maha Kumbh.

Shivalay Park, spanning 12 acres, is designed in the shape of India and is a major attraction during the Maha Kumbh Mela.

These images were captured by EOS-04 (RISAT-1A), a ‘C’ band microwave satellite, known for its fine resolution and all-weather capability.

The images feature the Triveni Sangam, where the Ganges River meets the Yamuna, a key religious site for the Maha Kumbh.

These stunning satellite images provide a rare perspective on the massive preparations for the Maha Kumbh Mela.
