Significant bathing days include Makar Sankranti (January 14), Mauni Amavasya (January 29), and Basant Panchami (February 3).

The mela has strict security to keep millions of pilgrims safe and ensure everything runs smoothly.

The Maha Kumbh Mela will end on February 26, closing this rare event held once every 144 years.
