Want better focus? Say goodbye to multitasking

In today’s busy world, multitasking feels useful. But it often does more harm than good.

Science says we can’t focus on two things at once- we only shift our attention fast.

Only about 2.5% of people can multitask without harming their work. Most of us just lose focus.

Multitasking is really “task switching.” Each switch makes us tired, slower, and less focused.

Track your multitasking for one week. Spot what makes you do it and when it happens most.

Start by noticing your habits

Tidy your desk. Remove things that distract you. Use apps to block social media if needed.

Create a focus-friendly space

Turn off non-urgent notifications.

Reduce digital distractions

Pick one task. Set a timer. During that time, only do that task- nothing else.

Make time to focus fully

Grow your reading habit with simple tricks
