The Pakistan International Airlines has sent an internal instruction memo to the cabin crew instructing them to be dressed properly, which includes wearing proper undergarments, Pakistani media reported. The clothing should also be in accordance with Pakistan's culture and national morals, the guideline reportedly said. Pakistani media reported that Pakistan's aviation and railway minister Khawaja Saad Rafique held a meeting with the PIA officials to improve the service of the national carrier.

As the video and photographs went viral, the girl was hailed as a hero for maintaining her strength and determination in the face of the disaster.

China rebuffed the Pentagon when it tried to arrange a phone call between Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and China's defense minister after the US shot down an alleged Chinese spy balloon, a Defense Department spokesman said. No new variants of Covid-19 emerged in Beijing in the weeks after China ended its zero-Covid policy late last year, a new study said on Wednesday. The new study by Chinese researchers, which analysed 413 samples from Beijing sequenced between November 14 and December 20, said "there is no evidence that novel variants emerged" during that time.
