An air offensive was launched on Saturday against Taliban hideouts in Inzary, Sagi, Awrdewazgi areas of Mohmand Agency bordering Afghanistan. A total of 28 militants were killed in earlier air strikes in the same region, officials said.
In a separate development, troops apprehended six terror suspects from a relief camp for internally displaced persons in Nahqi area of Mohmand Agency.
In yet another incident, a man identified as Muhammad Jan was killed when a mortar shell hit a house in Dawezai area of the same tribal region. It could not immediately be ascertained who had targeted the house.
