Poorva Chaudhary is a well-known face among the CBSE Higher Secondary Students. She teaches Humanities on her HUMAN-AT-EASE YouTube channel, which has over 200K+ subscribers.

Recently, Poorva Chaudhary a renowned YouTube educator from Delhi and founder of the HUMAN-AT-EASE platform which serves CBSE students from humanities backgrounds, launched her most demanded book, One Shot Question Bank for Humanities, i.e., History and Political Science, with the help of the widely renowned publisher Educart Publications, a division of Agrawal Group of Publications.

The book launch event was celebrated with a small educators meetup, where we got a chance to interact with her. Here are excerpts from the interview post-launch.

Q1: What inspired you to create "One Shot CBSE Question Bank Class 12 Humanities"?

The market is deluged with excellent reference books for science and commerce students. However, for Humanities students, there are hardly any comprehensive books that cover all the requirements set by CBSE for board exams.

The lack of such resources and the overwhelming amount of content available in the books often confuses students. They end up purchasing multiple books in search of one reliable reference resource, spending a hefty amount of money, and later regretting their choices. To address these issues, I launched this One Shot Question Bank for them. This book contains all the important questions pooled from top CBSE resources and is available at a minimal price.

Q2: How does your book differ from other Humanities question banks available in the market?

My Book One Shot Question Bank which is launched for CBSE Class 12 students for their upcoming 2025 board exam-

  • Contains all the important questions hand-picked from various important official CBSE sources like NCERT Textbooks, NCERT Exemplar, and the Diksha Platform.
  • It comes with Competency-based Questions strictly based on the latest CBSE guidelines for 2024-25 exams
  • Contains Previous Years' Questions (PYQs ) from the past 10 years
  • Comes with Detailed Solutions, along with the related theory and important points.
  • Includes Concept Mind Maps for each chapter individually, for quick revision.
  • Come with questions of varying difficulty levels to set a benchmark for success.

You won't find these features in any other reference books for the Humanities. This book is EXCLUSIVE as it provides all important practice questions in one place while walking hand in hand with the latest CBSE trends.

Q3: Poorva, can you walk us through the process you followed in curating the questions for One Shot Question Bank?

Of course! It took me around a year of hard work to finally materialise this book. I reviewed past trends in CBSE board papers, collected papers from previous years, and examined them to identify important topics. I also studied recent changes in question paper patterns, analysed official sample papers, had discussions with CBSE experts, and referred to various sources before putting it all down on paper and compiling it into the One Shot QB that you saw at the book launch event

Q4: How do you ensure the book aligns with the latest CBSE syllabus and exam patterns?

It is a multi-step process involving several key checkpoints, which we ensure are strictly followed to align the book with the latest CBSE syllabus and patterns. The first checkpoint is a close examination of the most recent CBSE syllabus and guidelines for History and Political Science to ensure that the book is up to date and covers every topic comprehensively. The second step involves collecting insights from humanities experts who are well-versed in the current CBSE syllabus and exam patterns. The third checkpoint is crucial and involves an in-depth analysis of past years' CBSE board exam papers, which helps us identify trends in question types, marking schemes, and important topics. The final step is a thorough quality check: we sent the book to humanities teachers and peer educators for feedback and review, incorporating the changes they suggested.

Q5: Are there any particular features in this book you're especially proud of?

Yes, although I am proud of all the features in this book, the one I’m most excited about is the 'Concept Mind Maps' I created for each chapter. It took a lot of effort and time to develop them. I read each chapter multiple times, distilled the key points, and mapped them out. I believe students will really appreciate this feature, as it will greatly help them with quick revision.

Q6: Let's talk about your personal life. So, Poorva, can you share a bit about your early life, like where you were born and where you grew up?

I was born and raised in a Jaat family in Rangpuri, Delhi. Currently, I'm 23 years old. While most of the children in my village went to nearby schools, I was privileged enough to be sent to an urban international standard school, all because of my parents' determination to give me the best education possible.

Q7: What was your schooling like? Were there any experiences during your school years that influenced your passion for education and writing?

I completed my schooling at Indraprastha International School, Dwarka, Delhi, and graduated in 2019 with 97.4% in the humanities stream. During my school years, I actively participated in dance, drama, and art-related inter-school competitions. I was also an active leader, which led me to join the student council.

For further studies, I appeared in the CLAT exam and got into USLLS and GGSIPU to pursue my BA.LLB. Degree.

Q8: When did you first realise you wanted to be involved in the world of education, especially in creating study resources for students?

After my Class 12 board exams in 2019, I realised there was a lack of resources for arts and humanities students, whether in tuition classes, online platforms, or printed materials. During the 2020 lockdown, I started teaching on YouTube through my channel, 'HUMAN-AT-EASE.' I created videos using handwritten notes and NCERT textbooks, without showing my face or using advanced technology like smart boards. At the time, I didn't anticipate that it would evolve into a full-time job; I simply saw a gap and wanted to offer a solution. Nevertheless, I always knew I wanted to share knowledge on a public platform.

Q9: How has your personal journey shaped the way you approach your work, particularly with your latest book, "One Shot CBSE Question Bank for Class 12"?

Being a Class 12 student 5 years ago, I can now relate to every student's need in this challenging journey of Board Exams. I know what an art student goes through, what the right resources to refer to, and the right approach towards becoming a topper in this stream. So definitely, my personal journey as a student has rightly shaped my approach towards Class 12 Boards & CUET Educational content.

Q10: How do you balance your personal life with the demands of writing and staying up-to-date with educational trends?

I prioritise my tasks daily; whether it is making YouTube video lectures, planning an online course, or making career-related reels, there is always a to-do list on my mind and my laptop.

Q11: Has any particular significant person influenced your path as an author and educator?

My number one mentor is my father, who has consistently encouraged me to work hard and pursue my dreams. Coming from a Jaat family, being active on social media and public platforms is not very common, but having a supportive and progressive family, especially a father like mine, has been instrumental to my success. He motivates me to dream as big as possible and assures me that every dream is possible if we give our 100%.

Q12: What has been the most rewarding part of your journey so far, both personally and professionally?

The most rewarding part of my educational journey has been the recognition I receive from students. I remember one student telling me, 'Log sahi kehte hai ki pata nahi kis roop me aa kar Narayan mil jayega, aap mere Narayan ho,' which deeply touched me and made me realise the impact I’ve had on students' lives.

In my personal life, I gained financial freedom at the age of 19, which has enabled me to support myself and my family.

Professionally, having established a successful 7 figure business and taught over 2 Lac+ students, I feel proud to be called a lawyer, an educator, an entrepreneur, an author, and a career coach at the age of 23.

Q13: You have achieved so much so early. What's your secret?

I do believe in Manifestation.

It is rightly said “Agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho … to puri kainaat usse tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jati hai”

For e.g., before starting my journey, I knew I would have a silver YouTube play button one day. Before sitting in my board exams, I strongly believed I would be a topper.....& many more. So, I strongly believe in my dreams, work hard to pursue them, and wait patiently for them to become reality.

Q14: Do you have any tips for students preparing for their Class 12 Humanities exams using this book?

I always advise students to ask themselves before going to sleep each night, 'Did I give my 100% today?' If the answer is yes, then sleep peacefully; if not, make sure to turn that answer into a 'yes' by the next night. Additionally, try not to dwell on the results. Focusing on the outcomes can cause unnecessary anxiety about the future, so it's better to concentrate on your actions and efforts.

So, Karm karo phal ki chinta mat karo!

Q15: Lastly, what's next for you? Any upcoming projects or new ideas you're excited about?

Yes, this is just the beginning. I’ll soon be launching affordable online classes on my HUMAN-AT-EASE website and application for Class 12 Boards and CUET. I’m also excited to explore the field of career counselling, with the goal of helping students across the country make informed and effective choices for their futures.
