Rationalized Chapters and Topics in Class 12 NCERT Textbooks

Published on 10 Feb 2024, 11:35 AM IST

Corresponding NCERT Rationalized Chapter and Topic charts covering all topics in textbooks for classes 9–12 have recently been produced by NCERT. This streamlined curriculum seems to be permanent, and it will be applied in the next few years for both board exams and competitive tests like CUET and NEET.

This change has been implemented for a considerable amount of time by the 2020 National Education Policy (NEP). The NEP promotes a move away from rote memorization and toward competency-based learning, emphasising the need to lessen the academic burden on pupils. These concepts are supported by the recent decrease in the syllabus.

The textbooks for Classes 9 to 12 now have all of the cut-off chapters and subjects completely revised by NCERT. Students can thus ignore these parts when they are getting ready for the board exams. We have provided a thorough tabular format with all of the deleted concepts for Class 12 courses in the section that follows.
