Building Better Classrooms: Columbia Foundation Hosts Educart’s Interactive Workshop on Classroom Management

Classroom chaos is no teacher’s friend and Columbia Foundation Senior Secondary School knows this well. In an effort to empower its educators and improve the daily teaching experience, the school recently hosted a hands-on workshop in collaboration with Educart, focused on Effective Classroom Management. Designed to go beyond theory, the workshop aimed to equip teachers with actionable strategies they could apply immediately in their classrooms.

Held on the school campus, the session brought together teachers from multiple departments for a deep dive into what makes classroom management not just effective but sustainable and student-friendly. The workshop focused on building proactive structures, handling disruptions gracefully, and creating a positive learning environment where both teachers and students thrive.

The training covered essential elements like:

• Setting clear classroom expectations from Day 1
• Creating routines and procedures that reduce confusion and downtime
• Implementing consistent consequences that are fair and constructive
• Using relationship-building as a long-term management tool
• Adopting PBIS and Responsive Classroom approaches for evidence-based results
• Exploring Tier 1, 2, and 3 interventions for different behavioral needs
• Practicing de-escalation techniques and addressing chronic misbehavior through role-play
